TNVM made a donation to the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) using funds raised during the Summer Picnic Children’s Bouncy Castle event.
Dr. Eileen Denovan-Wright, Associate Dean of Dalhousie Medical Research, received the bank draft along with Cathrine Yuill, Executive Director of Faculty of Medicine Advancement.
The donated funds were directed toward the first-of-its-kind GMP Manufacturing facility in Atlantic Canada, GMP – Biolabs East. This initiative was formed in association with the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine, Nova Scotia Health, IWK Health Centre, Canadian Center for Vaccinology (CCfV), and Life Sciences Nova Scotia to bring the facility to life.

TNVM was proud to be the first donor to support this facility, which initially focused on advancing research under Dalhousie’s Infection, Immunity, Inflammation, and Vaccinology (I3V) program. The initiative contributed significantly to the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, chronic inflammation, and cancer.
This biomanufacturing facility in Atlantic Canada marked an important milestone in translating innovative medical research from laboratories to patients’ bedsides.
TNVM extended sincere appreciation to Sandhya, Shanmugam, Ramyaa, and Maha for their dedicated efforts in successfully raising the funds.
